Y&R: Adam begs Victor – Roger Spends the Night – Tyra's Temptation

Monday 1/19: Adam keeps trying to reach Victor on his cell phone. He’s going to the state penitentiary today and is obviously terrified. He begs for Victor to either call or come to see him. Victor ignores the calls, and Ashley implores him to reconsider. Just as Adam gives up hope, Victor arrives. Adam tries to apologize, but Victor is adamant. The guards come to haul Adam off. Victor tells Ashley that he did see Adam, and she’s happy about that.
Roger spent the night with Esther, and she serves him coffee. Jill wants to know who he is and what he does for a living. Jill is shocked that Roger is the accountant that Cane hired. After Roger leaves, Jill tells Esther that he won’t be calling her back. Esther says Jill is jealous.
Roger meets with Clint, who is very pleased that Roger spent the night. Clint wants Roger to marry Esther, who has inherited half of the Chancellor mansion. Roger says that wasn’t part of the plan.
Roger calls Esther and asks her out to lunch. (Jill rolls her eyes). Roger arrives and is looking at the antiques when Jill comes in and fires Roger. He can’t believe that he’s out of a job, and Esther tells Roger not to worry because she’s loaded. (Oh, Esther, haven’t you learned from the past?)
Before Ana has to go to school for a special program, Neil, Ana and Tyra talk about Martin Luther King and what a memorable day tomorrow will be with the inauguration of Barak Obama. Ana comes back from the school program saying that she gave the I Have A Dream speech. (Isn’t it wonderful that they are relating to history as it’s actually happening?)
In the meantime, Karen asks Rafe what they need to do to adopt Ana. Neil thought they were going to wait, and Karen says that Ana can’t be in limbo. Neil tells Tyra that he fears Yolanda will come back and cause trouble. Rafe says he can file papers to remove Yolanda’s parental rights. Tyra thinks Karen is trying to take Ana away from her and Neil reassures her, saying that we all want what is best for Ana. He hugs Tyra, who starts kissing him. Neil looks very surprised and doesn’t kiss her back. Tyra is shocked by what she did and says she needs to leave town.
Who’s the daddy?
Brad is enjoying quality time with his adoptive daughter, Abby, at Crimson Lights when Abby gets a call from her biological (sperm donor) father, Victor. At the end of the conversation, she calls Victor ‘Dad.’ Abby sees the look on Brad’s face and says, “It’s okay if I call both of you ‘Dad,’ isn’t it?” Brad agrees, but when he sees Ashley. he is a little more than angry. She tries to calm Brad down, saying that Victor is good for Abby. This does not set well with Carlton.
In the meantime, Amber and Daniel meet up with Katherine (“Marge”) and wants to call a press conference to announce that Katherine Chancellor is alive and well, Daniel is still skeptical. “Marge” tells Amber how nice Kevin has been and that Michael is representing her. (Amber thinks that Kevin has ulterior motives). Amber tries to retrace Katherine’s steps from the accident, but Katherine can’t remember and apologizes. As Amber is trying to prompt her, asking leading questions, Katherine says that everything is familiar but the memory is evasive. “Marge” then sees the ring in the book and tells Amber she was wearing it when Murphy found her. Amber is really excited until she finds out that the ring has been pawned.
Jack meets with Ashley and tells her he wants to be CEO of Jabot because Ashley is compromising herself by sleeping with the enemy, Victor. She laughs and starts listing all of his downfalls and says she will not allow Jack to take control. He runs into Victor who tells him to watch his back. Jack then hooks up with Crystal. Crystal is the woman who is connected to Jack’s forged diary scam.
