DOOL: Chloe prays; Lucas learns the truth; Phillip kisses Melanie

Thursday 2/19; Chloe continues to talk to Father Matt and tells him the whole sordid story about the strong attraction she has for Daniel while being engaged to Lucas. He tells her that if her life with Lucas was truly satisfying, she never would have fallen for another man. He tells her not to fight it and that she should pray to God as to which man she should be with. Chloe does and waits for a “sign.”
At the hospital, Daniel is trying to tell Kate about his relationship with Chloe when they get her test results: she is in remission. Kate is ecstatic and tells Daniel that she will follow her love and plants a big one on his lips. Daniel is quite uncomfortable. She tells him that she didn’t think she was going to make it and didn’t want to put him through the loss like he had with his wife – this was why she broke things off with him. He tells her to share the good news with her kids, so she does.
He calls Chloe, and when she sees who the call is from, she says, “This is my sign.”
Maggie tracks down Lucas
Lucas is enjoying his cocktails at the Brady Pub when Maggie calls. He says it’s too late and ignores the call. He tells the bartender to keep them coming. He leaves the Pub and goes to the Cheatin’ Heart and orders a double vodka, straight up. Maggie enters and takes his drink from him. Lucas wants to know what Maggie knows that he doesn’t. She tells him that Chloe is having an affair. Of course, he doesn’t believe her so he wants to know just who it is. She tells him it’s Daniel and Lucas says, “He’s a dead man.”
Phillip confronts E.J.
Phillip goes to E.J.’s and threatens him about stealing the AFP project, and they go back and forth when Tony comes in. He tells them they are trying to pit the two families against each other; that will certainly mean war. Phillip and E.J. continue to spar, and Phillip finally leaves. Tony tells E.J. that he has a lot to learn. E.J. tells Tony that he is overreacting, and if Stefano knew he would “fire his ass.” E.J. then tells Tony to remember that he (E.J.) is the “Golden Child.”
Chloe tells Stephanie about the kiss she had with Max. Mel says she doesn’t have a problem about that. Chelsea asks about Phillip and says there isn’t a her-and-Phillip anymore. Stephanie says that Phillip is chasing after Melanie and Chelsea says she should give them an ultimatum. Stephanie goes to find Melanie.
In the meantime, Phillip goes to see Melanie and kisses her. Melanie is confused and wants to know why he’s doing this. He tells her that he has feelings for her and has just realized it. They go into a passionate kiss while Stephanie watches from the window.
