DOOL: E.J. threatens Melanie; Phillip threatens Nicole; Chloe prays

Monday 2/23; Boy, it sure seems like it’s a day for threatening people in Salem today doesn’t it? 
As Melanie is trying to wrestle Stephanie, E.J. comes to the door and tells Melanie to stop. He tells Stephanie to leave, as he has business to discuss with Melanie. E.J. brings out the contracts, and Melanie tells him it is not a good time and she’s not signing right now. E.J. threatens her not to cross him, that she entered into a verbal agreement with his father, and you do NOT cross Stefano DiMera. She signs the contracts, gives E.J. the second half of the formula, and asks for her money. Melanie counts the money and says she’s going to put it in a safe deposit box. As E.J. leaves, Brady is at the door and asks what E.J. is doing there; E.J. says it’s none of his business. Melanie tells Brady that Phillip is going to pay for what he did to her.
Over at the DiMera mansion, Phillip sees Nicole and Brady talking, and Brady saying that he will keep her secret from E.J. Brady kisses her on the cheek and leaves. Phillip threatens Nicole with what he saw and wants to know what E.J. will never find out. She tries to kick Phillip out when he says he’ll go to E.J. about Brady. Phillip really wants to know what Brady promised to keep from E.J. She won’t tell him, so he informs her that E.J. won’t be relentless if he learns of a secret. When Nicole tries to bribe him, he says he doesn’t need money, but she can help him with making a bad situation go away. Nicole says she will not betray E.J.
Phillip tells Nicole what is going on with the Alternative Fuel Project and Melanie; he tells her she WILL make E.J. back off or he will tell him everything. Phillip leaves, and E.J. comes home and tells her that he ‘bested’ the Kiriakis family today. She begs him to take it back, he needs to let Titan win this one – she’s afraid for their baby.
After the explosion
Chloe comes to after the explosion and sees Lucas’ lifeless body. She tries to give him CPR. She finds her cell phone, calls 911, and prays to God – Lucas then comes to life.
Over at the hospital, Maggie sees Daniel and says she is looking for Lucas and describes telling Lucas about Daniel and Chloe. Daniel rushes to the apartment and arrives at the same time as the explosion. The paramedics take Lucas to the hospital, where he has a severe case alcohol poisoning. Chloe blames herself for Lucas drinking again. Daniel tells her he loves her and kisses her; she pushes him away.
Maggie is at the hospital when they wheel Lucas in, and Chloe walks in. She tells Maggie about the explosion and praying. She says that He can’t keep her to her promise can He? Maggie wants to know who He is. Maggie thinks that Chloe should see a doctor, and Lucas wants to see Maggie.
