DOOL: Hope turns in her badge; Chelsea and Max kiss; Nicole's fears

Tuesday 2/17; Hope gives Bo her badge after the Internal Affairs meeting. Hope tells Bo that she has always believed in his premonitions before and doesn’t understand why he thought she wouldn’t believe this one that could have saved her from shooting Kayla and losing her job. Bo loves Hope and wants them to be back together. Hope says it can’t happen yet, and she doesn’t know when she’ll be ready.
Kayla and Steve are worried about Hope when Roman comes in and tells them that Hope has been suspended, pending a full investigation. Kayla wants to call the mayor and governor, and Steve tells her not to, that Bo and Hope have been through worse and have come out better for it.
Chelsea and Max; Melanie and Phillip
Chelsea tells Max that she wants to be more than friends; she’s a woman with needs. Max is surprised and Chelsea, embarrassed, says that she just blabbed it out. Max says that he has feelings too, which surprises Chelsea.
At the pier, Melanie tells Phillip to give up Stephanie, and the project is Titan’s if not it’s going to the DiMeras. Phillip tells her she’s playing a dangerous game. She lets him know that she accepts all of his sides, where Stephanie accepts only his good side and judges him. Phillip tells her that he and Stephanie are getting closer all the time, and he doesn’t need to hook up with a bitch like Melanie. He lets her know that if she screws with Titan she will be sorry, and he leaves to go back to the office.
Chelsea and Max talk and end up in a kiss, when Melanie comes in. Chelsea leaves and Melanie teases Max. “Wait until Princess Stephanie finds out, but you have definitely traded up.”
Nicole has nightmares
When Nicole goes to get a bottle for Sydney, E.J. gets a call from Roman, who is returning his call. E.J. asks when Sami is coming home, as Johnny misses his mother terribly. Nicole walks in and hears. Roman tells E.J. that there has been a delay.
Nicole asks what that was about and E.J. tells her that the killer is dead, and he didn’t tell Nicole because of their problems with Sydney. Nicole goes ballistic and fears once Sami is back, she and her baby will be taking a backseat to Sami once again.
E.J. tries to put Nicole’s fears to rest, saying that Sami has nothing to do with him and Nicole. Nicole says that Sami hates her and loves stirring up trouble. E.J. says he won’t let anything come between them. He gets a phone call from Stefano and leaves the room to talk to his father.
Nicole has a nightmare that E.J. and Sydney are gone, and that E.J. comes back and tells her that he realizes the baby isn’t hers but Sami’s, and he kicks her out. Nicole wakens and says that NOTHING is going to come between her and what she has worked for.
