DOOL: Hope's hearing; Mia calls Nicole; Phillip's Suspicions
Posted on 16. Feb, 2009 by patti in Daily Update, DOOL
Monday 2/16; Hope has her hearing, and Bo sees her outside the boardroom and wants to know why she hasn’t returned his phone calls. She tells him she still can’t deal with what he did or didn’t do.
Kayla wants to go to Hope’s hearing and testify for her; Steve doesn’t think it’s a good idea.
Roman and Bo testify on Hope’s behalf. The board ask Bo if Hope followed protocol during a hostage situation; he says no and then defends Hope. Just as the board says there will be no more testimony, Kayla is wheeled in. Kayla gives her testimony, and one of the members wants the record to show that “Dr. Johnson is related to the defendant.” Hope comes out of the hearing and gives Bo her badge.
E.J./Nicole/Mia/Brady
E.J. finds out that the first part of the formula that Melanie gave him is workable. E.J. is delighted and has his things moved back into Nicole’s room.
Mia calls Nicole and asks her about her baby. Nicole says it’s no longer HER baby and to never EVER call again. E.J. comes in and wants to know who she’s talking to. She says it’s a telemarketer, and she thought cell-phone numbers were supposed to be private. (In what decade are you living in, Nicole?)
E.J. leaves and Mia calls back; she thinks something is wrong and maybe she should come home and get her baby. Nicole says Mia needs to concentrate on her dancing career, Mia says it’s not looking good. Nicole says goodbye to Mia.
In the meantime, Brady threatens Dr. Baker. Dr. Baker says he has no idea that Brady was still so involved with Nicole, and he didn’t think anyone else knew the whole truth. When he starts to tell Brady, Brady talks about Mia, which surprises Dr. Baker. He tells Brady that he can’t believe every lie that comes out of Miss Walker’s mouth.
Brady then goes to see Nicole, who is livid that Brady went to Dr. Baker. She can’t believe that he knows about the baby brokerage scheme. She tells him to stay out of it. Brady wants to know what else Nicole has done that he doesn’t know about, and that Dr. Baker implied something else happened. Nicole bats her eyes and says, “Who are you going to believe: a gambling blackmailer or someone you know and trust?” Brady says he is not turning on her, he is just worried. He gives her a hug and leaves before E.J. comes home.
Nicole then calls Dr. Baker and tells him to leave Brady alone. He says “You told me all about your beloved E.J.; why didn’t you tell be about this other guy you’re sleeping with?” She says they’re just friends.
Phillip and Melanie
Phillip sees Melanie at the Brady Pub and wants to know what she’s done. She innocently says, “Who, me?” She gets a call from E.J., but acts like it’s Max and says she will meet him shortly. E.J. wants to meet her at the pier. Melanie leaves. Phillip tells Stephine that something isn’t right, and Max and Chelsea walk in. Phillip realizes Melanie wasn’t talking to Max, and he runs after her.
Melanie meets E.J., and he gives her an envelope. She says she can’t give him the other half of the formula until they have a deal in writing. She also wants to know how long the injunction will last. E.J. says his attorneys are working on it and that he’ll be in touch. As E.J. leaves, Phillip arrives and sees the two of them. “Well, well. Why am I not surprised?” He says he thinks there is a crime that has been committed, and E.J. suggests he call the police, and leaves.
Phillip grabs the envelope, from Melanie, and pulls out a wad of money. He wants to know why E.J. is paying her. She says she couldn’t do anything because of the injunction. Melanie then giggles and says he is SO cute when he’s clueless. She starts to leave, then turns and says to Phillip, “You know, we could work things out. You just have to make a gesture of good faith, if you know what I mean.”
E.J. arrives home, and Nicole wants him to make love to her. He says, “You know we can’t; you just had a baby.”
