DOOL: Sydney Rushed to Hospital; Kayla forgives Steve; Hope leaves Bo

Monday 2/9; As E.J. and Brady are arguing, Sydney stops breathing and Nicole screams; they rush her to the hospital. They give the baby to Lexie, who regulates her breathing and will keep her on a ventilator. Nicole is very afraid that the baby is going to die. She tells Brady that she’s being punished, and that’s why Sydney is fighting for her life. Brady tells her that no one is to blame. Nicole is crying and Brady gives her a hug as E.J. returns with her tea. E.J. tells Brady to leave and when Nicole tells him to stop, E.J. wants to know what’s going on between them. Brady says it’s friendship and nothing more, and leaves. Nicole almost comes clean with E.J. (but we know THAT won’t happen, don’t we?)
Hope sees Kayla and asks for her forgiveness. Kayla hugs her and says of course, and that Hope can’t blame herself. Hope tells Kayla about the visions Bo had and that even though Bo didn’t tell her, he did tell Steve. Kayla confronts Steve about not letting her know. Steve apologizes and says he’ll do anything to make it up to her. He offers to quit the detective business, but she says no. They do work things out.
In the meantime, Abe stops at Bo’s to ask about the shooting and he says he blew it big time. He then explains about the visions and them not making sense of it. He also tells Abe about the visions he had about Theo.
Hope comes home and Bo says he’s got plane tickets for them to go to Hawaii. Hope doesn’t want him to pressure her and decides that she needs to be by herself for awhile, and she is taking Ciarra to Doug and Julie’s. Bo doesn’t want her to go.
Stephanie challenges Phillip while Max confronts Melanie
After hearing Phillip tell Victor that he will “bury Melanie,” Stephanie confronts him. He says he didn’t mean it “literally,” but he will do anything to protect the Alternative Fuel Project. Stephanie is upset about the way he’s going to treat Melanie, and even though she doesn’t like her, she is still a human being. He says he is what he is, and if she doesn’t like what she sees, she can walk. He also says, “Don’t try to change me or reform me.” (Stephanie, take it from me, you can’t change anyone unless they want to be changed. You will only be hurt and disillusioned in the long run.)
Meanwhile at the pier, Melanie is leaving another voicemail for E.J., threatening to take the AFP somewhere else or leave it at Titan if she doesn’t hear from him. Max overhears and wants to know what she’s up to now. Max realizes that Melanie wants Phillip and thinks that holding the project over his head will cause him to break up with Stephanie and marry her. He tells her that it’s a dangerous business to do a bidding war with the DiMera’s against the Kiriakis’s.
Sami and Rafe
At the convent, Sami wakens and is concerned that Rafe isn’t there. Sister Theresa explains that his boss called, and he went to see him. Sami is afraid he won’t be back. While Sami is taking Grace for a stroll around the grounds, Rafe returns and tells Sister Theresa that the meeting was a complete disaster. He says that he didn’t tell his boss everything. Sister Theresa understands that he’s still protecting Sami and has feelings for her. When Sami returns, Rafe tells her that everything went fine and that they can stay at the convent for a few more days.
