Friday 2/20; Everyone gathers at Company before Coop’s funeral. Marina breaks down with Frank and says that Mallet is busy at the police station. Mallet is actually trying to get hold of another adoption agency to help him and Marina.

Frank tells Beth that he’s concerned that Alan will close down Company in retaliation. Beth assures him she won’t let this happen and that they are in this together.

Ashley and Daisy go to the corner store to get some tissues, and Ashley asks Daisy where Grady is. Daisy says he’ll meet them at the funeral home later. (She looks uncomfortable.) When they get back to Company, Grady is there. Daisy tells him that she doesn’t think he should go to the funeral. She has to think about her family; it was only a year ago that Gus died, and two years since Tammy died, at his hand. Grady can’t believe she’s putting family ahead of him, and leaves.

At the Spaulding Mansion, Alan sees the article about Coop’s memorial service and when Lizzie comes in, he says, “You aren’t planning on going, are you?” She says he was her first love, and Alan says, “Yeah, and your mother’s last love.” She says she is going to represent the family. He wants her to reconsider and go with him to see Phillip at the jail.

Alan visits Philip, who says he wishes he could have helped Lizzie. Alan wants to know what Phillip’s plans are and tells him that he’s hired an attorney for him. Phillip advises Alan to patch things up with Buzz, which Alan has no intention of doing, as he blames the Coopers for all of the Spauldings’ problems.

At the funeral home, Josh gives a talk about Coop and asks if anyone has anything to say. Beth, Frank, Ashley, and Buzz all get up and talk about Coop. (During the talks, Mallet gets a phone call saying that they have been turned down by the adoption agency.)

When Lizzie gets up to talk, she says she is sorry about what happened to Coop and she knows that the town feels that the Spauldings are to blame. Alan enters and says they have nothing to be sorry about, and the fault lies with the people in this room, not the Spaulding family.

Phillip then arrives with the police.
