GL: Mourning Coop; Beth leaves Alan

Wednesday 2/18; Lillian consoles Buzz as the rest of the family looks on. Lillian tells Beth about Coop. She is beside herself and goes into Coop’s room and begs him to come back to her. Buzz tells Frank that he’s sorry he took his brother away, and then Buzz realizes that he’ll never talk to Coop again. Lillian tries to console Beth.
Alan tells Lizzie that Phillip is back and in jail. Lizzie tells him she knows and that she is the one who had him arrested. The phone rings, and Lizzie finds out that Coop didn’t make it. Alan tells Lizzie how sorry he is and that her mother needs their support even though she was misguided. Lizzie says she’s going to the hospital, and Alan says not to offer condolences because the Coopers are envious of the Spauldings.
Lizzie sees a newspaper saying her dad is back in town, and Cyrus walks in, saying that he was going to call Harley about Coop but it didn’t seem right. Lizzie says she was going to call Bill, but realized that it wouldn’t be healthy and asks Cyrus to kick her in the butt if she thinks about calling Bill again.
Beth goes back to the Spaulding mansion, and Alan says he is sorry about what happened to Coop, but now is the time to reschedule their wedding. Beth is appalled. She defends Coop and lashes out at Alan. She tells Alan that she’s called James’ boarding school and will send for Peyton’s things.
Olivia is on her way to The Beacon when she decides to go see Phillip at the jail. She has second thoughts and sees Mallet and says she can’t do this. Phillip calls for Mallet to see how Coop is doing, when Mallet gets the phone call that Coop didn’t make it. Phillips is upset hearing this.
Buzz asks Frank about Phillip getting bail. Frank says it probably won’t happen, and Buzz says he wants Phillip out. When Frank asks what they talked about, he says, “Justice.” He says Alan has to be taken down and Phillip can help. Frank tells him to back off.
Beth goes to see Phillip at the jail and thanks him for trying to save Coop. She also tells him that she’s moving out of the Spaulding mansion, even though she doesn’t know where she’s going. Phillip wishes he could help her.
Alan makes a phone call, saying he is going to see Phillip, as Buzz looks on in the distance.
