Thursday 2/26; Cane and Billy both go to visit Cordelia at the Chancellor mansion, with each stating that she is “his” daughter. Cane tells Billy to do the right thing and walk out of Cordelia’s life. Cane and Billy continue to go at it, so Esther takes Chloe and Cordelia upstairs. Cane becomes so irate that he punches Billy. Chloe comes down and sees what happened and advises Billy to leave for now. Cane wants to talk to Chloe alone; he tells her that he signed the birth certificate and that she is selfish and not fit to be a mother. Cane threatens Chloe that if she tries to get in the way, that he will cut her out of Cordelia’s life. He says HE is in charge and calling the shots.

Billy is back at Jack’s, and tells him what happened at Jill’s. Jack is impressed that Billy took the high road and didn’t punch back. Billy tells Jack that he wants to be a dad to Cordelia, and Jack says he will help him in any way that he can.

At the hospital, Sharon learns that her mom, Doris, is going to be okay. Noah wants to get his books that he left at the bookstore, calls Eden to meet him at Crimson Lights, and sees Phyllis there.

Michael and Lauren arrive at the bookstore, and Eden says she didn’t shoplift anything. At first, Michael doesn’t believe her. When Eden explains what happened and that she didn’t do it, Michael and Lauren go to see the store manager. Gloria’s trial is about to start, so Lauren tells Michael to go; she’ll handle things at the store.

Back at the hospital, Sharon tells her mom that she’s been making a lot of bad decisions and “spaces out” sometimes; it’s just for a short time, but doesn’t know what she did. Doris tells Sharon that she had these problems before, after Doris’s accident – Sharon doesn’t want to talk about that. Doris says the same thing happened when she, Doris, was paralyzed and Sharon took on all the guilt. Sharon blames herself for Brad’s death. Doris thinks she should see a therapist. Sharon screams no, she’ll be fine. She knocks over her purse, sees the ceramic elephant, and doesn’t know where it came from.

Eden calls Noah and tells him she’s been arrested. Lauren and Phyllis arrive, and Noah doesn’t want Phyllis to call Nick. Phyllis and Lauren talk to the store manager, and he is adamant about making Eden an example and WILL prosecute to the full extent of the law. Phyllis calls Nick to intervene, and then he calls Sharon.

Sharon arrives at the bookstore, and Noah asks Sharon if she put extra books in the bag by mistake. Of course, she denies it (another space-out moment?) Sharon then goes off on Phyllis and Eden, and then Nick and Sharon go into the store. Lauren tells them the store manager won’t budge. Sharon says Eden is a menace; she doesn’t want Noah anywhere near Eden (Sharon is near hysterics.) Nick asks her if she’s okay; she tells him to leave her alone and shoves him.

After Sharon leaves, she goes to Brad’s. She takes the elephant out of her purse and thinks that someone put it there as a cruel joke. She then has a severe panic attack and rushes out of the house, breaking the elephant.

At Gloria’s trial, Heather agrees to the new evidence of how Emma Gibson died. The judge berates Gloria for her part in tainting the face cream. The judge says he would like to lock Gloria up and throw away the key, but legally can’t do that. It rankles him to say that Gloria is free to go. Gloria tells Michael she wants to call Jefferey to pick her up. Michael just shakes his head in disbelief.

Michael then arrives at the bookstore, learns that the police are on their way, and that Eden will be arrested. Michael assures Eden that she won’t go to jail and will be released into his custody.
