YR: Sharon's morning after; Cane learns the truth; Colleen's surprise announcement

Friday 2/20; Sharon wakes and has all of the memories of sleeping with Billy the night before, when Nick knocks on the door. Nick says he was concerned about her because yesterday was their anniversary. She says, “You remembered?” and bursts into tears, looking at the empty champagne bottle and two empty champagne flutes. She hides one of the flutes and Nick says that it’s not like her to drink alone. Sharon tells him they agreed not to lean on each other anymore; he has made his choice to stay with Phyllis. She asks him to leave.
Billy sees Jack and asks for his car keys back. Jack says, “Stale booze, yesterday’s clothes, and expensive perfume – do I get to know her name?” Billy thinks about his romp with his brother’s estranged wife, and says he has work to do. Jack keeps after Billy about claiming his daughter. Billy explodes. Jack tells him that Billy’s actions always affect other peoples lives. Billy walks out.
Jack goes to see a hungover Sharon; he tells her that Billy tied one on the night before too. She tells Jack that she’s really messed up and has a headache. He gets her some aspirin and finds the hidden champagne flute. He starts to put the pieces together.
Cane learns the truth
Chloe is doing a lot better and is taken off the respirator. Cane hands her Cordelia, and Esther and Lily leave so they can be alone. Cane asks Chloe why she went to see Billy and Lily at the cabin.
Billy arrives at the hospital and sees Lily. She says she left Cane and Chloe alone so Chloe can tell Cane the truth about the baby. Billy says that is why he is here.
Chloe tells Cane that he’s not the father of the baby. Cane is stunned and walks away, holding Cordelia, as Billy walks in. He tells Billy to leave, and Chloe asks him to stay. Cane says the DNA test proved he was the father and Chloe says that actually, what it said was that the markers didn’t rule him out. Billy says that showed the only other candidate would be his brother. Cane has Lily take Cordelia to the nursery. Billy and Chloe explain to Cane that they had a thing in NYC but nothing since. Cane realizes that there wasn’t really any sex between him and Chloe and that “any Chancellor would do?” Chloe tells Cane not to be mad at Billy, that it was she who changed the sonogram; she was the liar. Lily comes in and Cane looks at her and says, “You knew about this, didn’t you?” She says she just found out and couldn’t tell him. Cane says that Cordelia is HIS daughter, and no one is taking her away from him. Chloe goes to have some tests when the nurse brings in the birth certificate, which Cane signs.
The Newman board meeting
Abby is thrilled that Ashley has accepted to fill Brad’s vacant seat on the Newman board. Victoria, however, is less than thrilled when Victor tells her. Victoria is upset that Victor did not include her and Nick in the decision about the vacant seat. Victoria tells Nick about Ashley and that she thinks the seat belongs to Nikki.
As the board meeting begins, Victor says that Brad was a hero, and presents a plaque of Brad’s distinguished service to Abby and Colleen. Victor starts to make a motion to appoint Ashley Abbott to fill Brad’s vacant seat, when Colleen interrupts. Her father cherished his spot on the board, and out of respect for him, she is the one that will be taking over her father’s seat – per Article 7 Sub paragraph 53 of the Newman bylaws.
Tyra absconds with Ana
Karen talks to Neil about Ana’s adoption. He says they need to talk to Tyra first. Karen remembers the kiss she saw between Neil and Tyra. Neil says he hasn’t talked to her yet but will soon, when the time is right. Neil goes to the board meeting, as Tyra is coming in to meet with Ana and the social worker. Karen tells Tyra that Neil wants to start adoption proceedings right away. Tyra says that Neil told her they would talk about it, and Ana comes in. As Ana is talking to Tyra, Tyra remembers the kiss with Neil and what Karen said. She acts like she is feeling woozy, and the social worker goes to get her some water. Tyra then takes off with Ana.
