Tuesday 3/3; Steffy and Risk bask in the afterglow of their lovemaking, and Steffy realizes that she needs to go home so she doesn’t worry her mom. Steffy kisses Rick goodbye and goes home, and Taylor asks if she was with Rick. Steffy admits that she was, and once Taylor gets a good look at Steffy’s face, she realizes that her little girl is now a woman.

After Steffy leaves, someone pours lighter fluid on Rick’s front door and lights a match. The front door explodes into flames. The smoke alarm goes off and Rick grabs the fire extinguisher and puts it out. The fire department arrives and firefighters tell Rick they think it’s arson.

Over at the Forrester offices, everyone returns from different things. Here are the excuses:

Pam had some errands to run; Thorne was having a drink; Marcus was having dinner; and everyone has a “fire” comment about Rick. Thorne sees Jake cleaning up Rick’s office. Jake tells Thorne that Thorne really got burned and Thorne says, “Ricky is going to get burned sooner than later.” Pam tells Marcus that Rick is a real “fireball,” and Marcus says he would like to see Rick go up in “flames.”  (Everyone has a motive!)

Brooke wakens and is concerned that Ridge isn’t in bed. She tries to call Ridge but he doesn’t  answer. Ridge comes home and tells Brooke that he was out riding his motorcycle. She says he smells like gas, and Ridge says he filled up the bike’s gas tank. She asks where he was ,and Ridge tells her that he was worried about Steffy and rode out to Rick’s. When he didn’t see her car in the driveway, he left.

After Ridge goes up to take a shower, Rick shows up at Brooke’s and accuses Ridge of setting his house on fire. She says it couldn’t have been Ridge. Brooke asks how the fire started, and Rick says lighter fluid, and it’s being investigated.
