DOOL: Tony works with Melanie; Rafe sees Grace

Monday 3/16; Tony sees Melanie and tells her that he has the means to get the fuel project underway for her now. Tony says he could extricate himself from the DiMera family and stick it to his father and E.J. and Melanie wouldn’t be defendant on her brother, Max. Melanie says she doesn’t trust him, she’s learned her lesson dealing with the DiMera’s. Tony understands and says that he is sure that she has a lot of other investors and goes to leave and Melanie says ‘wait!” Melanie agrees to work with Tony as long as they do it her way. Tony agrees and says that he needs the blueprint. Melanie says she knows where she can get it and goes to see Max at the Cheatin’ Heart where she talks with Max. Max thinks Melanie wants something and she admits that she needs to see a copy of the blueprint and Max says no. Melanie gets defensive and then Max has to get some money from the safe and Melanie sees the blueprints in there and runs out. When she sees Tony she says she doesn’t have them yet, but can get them.
E.J. tells Nicole that Stefano is concerned that they haven’t made arrangements for the christening yet. Nicole tells E.J. that she made the arrangements earlier in the day and hadn’t had a chance to discuss it with him yet. E.J. tells her that he has to leave shortly to pick Johnny up at the Pub. Stefano comes in and suggests the christening should be at the Convent of the Holy Cross and Nicole says she has already made arrangements at St. Luke’s. E.J. has to leave the room for a moment and Stefano asks Nicole why she didn’t tell E.J. that she was at the Convent a few days before. She says that she was doing volunteer work there and E.J. knows. When E.J. comes back Nicole wants to go with him to get Johnny.
At the Pub Sami calls Sister Theresa and hears Grace crying and wants to know what’s wrong. Grace has a diaper rash and Sister Theresa can’t go to get her ointment. Sami has extra ointment but can’t go right now because E.J. is coming for Johnny. Rafe comes in and Sami tells Rafe what is going on and Rafe says he will deliver it to the Convent. As Rafe is getting ready to leave he sees Nicole come in and remembers that she saw him at the mansion when he pretended to be the cable man. Rafe goes out the back way. At the convent Rafe holds Grace and tells her that her mommy misses her.
The elopement
Kate tells Victor that she has to fly to Vegas because Chloe and Lucas have gone off to elope. Victor suggests that she stay out of it. Kate won’t listen to Victor and says she’s leaving NOW. Both Titan’s plane and her plane aren’t available until next week and Kate isn’t thrilled that she has to fly commercial.
Chloe and Lucas are on their commercial flight and Chloe tells Lucas that she is concerned if they are dowing the right thing without telling Kate. kate has been so kind to Chloe and she, Chloe, doesn’t want to hurt Kate’s feelings. Lucas assures her that everything will be find and that Kate will udnerstand. They arrive in Las Vegas and head to the nearest chapel.
