YR: Bombing aftermath; love is in the air

Monday 3/9; After the bomb goes off Esther looks for Katherine, and finds her unconscious. Amber and Gloria are also out, but come to. Esther calls 911, and the medics take a still-unconscious Katherine to the hospital. Esther calls Jill, who is at Crimson Lights with Billy and Chloe, and tells her about the explosion and to come to the hospital. At the hospital, the medics take Kay to an exam room. Gloria, who is in a wheelchair, calls a reporter and tells them she has an exclusive – she just saved Katherine Chancellor’s life.
Jill arrives at the hospital, and Esther tells her that she was right all along about Roger, but dead wrong about Marge – that woman really is Mrs. C.
Detective Wallace questions Esther, and she explains about Roger and Clint. Jill quips, “Another scam,” and Esther loses it and screams at her. Chloe tells Jill to leave Esther alone and tells the detective to stop the questioning for now; she thinks Esther needs a sedative. Gloria is telling the media how she was the one that saved Katherine Chancellor, as Amber listens on in disgust.
After hearing about the explosion, Daniel, Jana, and Michael go to the hospital. Jana and Daniel ask Amber where Kevin is. Amber says she didn’t see Kevin at the motel; Amber thought he had gone home to Jana. Jana keeps trying Kevin’s cellphone, which goes to voice mail. Michael and Daniel go to the motel to see if they can find Kevin. Amber tries to calm Jana, who is livid and says that woman in the hospital room is a fraud. Det. Wallace tells Michael there is no sign of Kevin, and Michael reports him missing.
Katherine comes to, and Dr. Gannon asks if she knows where she is and who she is. Katherine says that she is in the hospital and that she is Katherine Chancellor. She tells the doctor that the reason she is in the hospital is because her daughter, Jill Abbott, had her admitted due to memory lapses. The doctor mentions the explosion and Katherine doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
Murphy is at the diner when Joe Jr. comes out with the radio, talking about the explosion and saying one of the victims is Marge. They go running off to the hospital.
Dr. Gannon tells Amber, Esther, and Jill that the hospital will be running more tests and then they can visit the woman who claims to be Katherine. Jill, still not believing it’s Katherine, leaves.
Esther tells Billy that the woman really is his grandmother. Chloe tells Esther that she has moved into the Abbotts’ and that she and Billy are going to be getting married. Esther is thrilled.
love is in the air
Nick and Sharon are in a lip lock, and Sharon pulls away. Nick apologizes and leaves. Sharon makes a phone call to Jack and says she doesn’t want to be alone. Sharon tells Jack something is wrong with her, and she is losing it.
Phyllis and Nick return home and Nick tells Phyllis that he went to check on Sharon but nothing happened. Phyllis tells him that she trusts him and goes to take a shower. As she is getting ready to go in the shower, Nick comes in and starts passionately kissing her. They end up in the shower together.
Back in Sharon’s room, Jack gives her a massage and tries to make her feel better. Sharon wants Jack to make love to her, and as they are having foreplay, Sharon calls out Nick’s name. (That had to be like throwing ice water on Jack’s face!)
Jack gets dressed and leaves. Sharon calls Nick’s phone and Phyllis answers. Phyllis thanks Sharon for whatever she said or did; it really lit a fire under Nick and Nick just can’t seem to get enough of her. Phyllis then hangs up.
Clint, Roger, Annie
The ‘gang’ has Kevin in the back seat, where he is delusional. Annie says it’s the drugs. Clint hears on the radio about the explosion and that there were no fatalities. That upsets him, so he sends the picture of Kevin, with his hands on the bomb, to the press. Then, they put Kevin back in the trunk. This freaks Kevin out to no end, and he protests. (Boy, do I see another Daytime Emmy coming for Greg Rikaart)
At the hospital, Det. Wallace shows everyone the picture of Kevin holding the bomb.
The doctor lets Murphy and Joe Jr in to visit and Katherine, who doesn’t know who they are.
