#DOOL Spoiler: Stephanie breaks up with Phillip

Stephanie goes to see Father Matt regarding living the dangerous Kiriakis lifestyle. Father Matt is someone Stephanie has known her entire life; he knows her family. She doesn’t have to go into much detail, as Father Matt has heard what happened to her with Owen at the morgue. He can see that Stephanie is troubled and talks her through things. At the end of their talk, Stephanie has made her decision.
She returns to the Kiriakis manse to confront Phillip about their relationship. However, Phillip confronts Stephanie first—about the anxiety pills she’s been popping. Stephanie confesses she’s been abusing the pills to help her deal with what’s been going on. Phillip assures her that they can work it out. She says that they’ve tried it before and they just can’t do it.
Stephanie finds the courage to do what she has to do. She takes off her engagement ring and puts it down. Phillip begs her not to do this but she says that although she loves him, she has to do this for her safety and peace of mind. She kisses Phillip and walks out.
Will Stephanie be able to move on without Phillip?
