#DOOL: The life and times of Justin Kiriakis

After a 13-year absence, Justin Kiriakis returns to Salem on August 10th.
Thanks to Kate’s manipulations and her setting Daniel up for Chloe’s poisoning, Daniel is facing charges. Justin is now an attorney, and Victor wants his nephew to return to Salem immediately to clear Daniel of the charges against him. Victor is very concerned about his godson and wants to make sure Daniel has the best lawyer he can get.
Let’s learn more about Wally Kurth’s previous stint as Justin from 1987-1991.
Justin arrived in Salem searching for his uncle, Victor, in 1987. The wealthy playboy had a fling with Anjelica. Then he fell in love with Adrienne, although he kept his identity a secret. Adrienne was hurt when Victor revealed the truth, but she stood by Justin and they wed in Greece.
The newlyweds’ life quickly went downhill. Adrienne hated Justin’s ties to his crime family. The stress cause her to miscarry their first child. Justin chose his marriage over his uncle, and the couple moved out of the mansion. In 1988, Victor was shot and Justin returned to run the business, but Adrienne didn’t join him. Justin turned to Anjelica, who became pregnant with his child. Adrienne turned to stableman Emilio. A jealous Justin arranged to have Emilio killed, but ended up paralyzed in the process, prompting Adrienne to return to his side.
In 1989, Justin and Adrienne learned Anjelica’s son, Alexander, was his child. Adrienne feared she was losing her husband, and she allowed Justin to believe she was pregnant. Anjelica exposed the truth, and Justin and Adrienne divorced in 1990.
An accident brought the couple back together when Justin rescued his ex from an explosion Anjelica had arranged. Anjelica fled and was presumed dead in a plane crash with Alexander. Justin and Adrienne remarried and adopted twin boys, Joey and Victory. Then Adrienne became pregnant with a son, Jackson. The couple’s family grew when Johnny Corelli reunited Justin with Alexander, who hadn’t died. Needing a fresh start, Justin, Adrienne, and their sons moved to Texas and started the A.J. Construction company in 1991.
Unfortunately, when Justin returns, it will be without Adrienne: the actress, Judy Evans, has just signed on with ATWT.
