#GL Spoiler: Bill and Lizzie finally wed
Posted on 12. Jul, 2009 by patti in GL, Spoilers

Last week, if anything could go wrong for Bill and Lizzie’s wedding, everything did:
- When talking to Josh on the phone, Bill found out that Josh was in Florida with Reva and couldn’t officiate at the wedding.
- Lizzie went to the florist and found out that the flowers she ordered were actually a plant, and the flowers won’t be ready for picking for a year.
- The cake that Lizzie so carefully made fell out of Bill’s van when he opened the door, and was all over the ground.
- When they arrived at the church, no one was there! Lizzie looked at the invitation and realized they had the wrong date.
Unbeknown to them, Dinah was at the back of the church and overheard what happened; she planned a makeshift ceremony in a nearby field.
This week, Dinah gets everyone in Springfield to bring flowers and chairs to the field. She contacts Doris and asks her to officiate. Lizzie is so pleased, she asks Dinah to be her maid of honor, which is a big deal, seeing that Dinah helped in the kidnapping of Lizzie.
A beaming Phillip walks Lizzie down the “aisle” and after they exchange heartfelt vows, Doris happily pronounces Bill and Lizzie husband and wife—despite a disapproving Alan’s presence. Afterwards, everyone applauds the newlyweds and Lizzie shares a special moment with Phillip during a dance.
Will the happy couple live happily ever after? We can only hope, seeing that the ‘Light goes off on CBS in September. Also, this was a very “unsoapy” soap wedding. No one objected, no one got shot, and we didn’t find out that someone’s cheating. (giggles)
