#Y&R Breaking News: Eric Braeden 'end of the road'

For those of us who have been holding out hope that Victor Newman will stay in Genoa City, it’s time to start saying our goodbyes now. Eric Braeden told Entertainment Weekly exclusively today that he has “pulled the plug” on any more talks to stay on Y&R.
Braeden has called the soap home since 1980 and walked off the set in September. Sony, the production company, wanted Braeden, 68, to take a pay cut – not at the end of his contract (which is how it normally goes) but after his 13 week cycle.
Branden’s last appearance on Y&R will be November 2.
I can only pray that TPTB at Sony will reach their senses and come to and agreement to keep the “mustache” in Genoa City.

I can’t believe Sony won’t cave now that they know he’s serious. What would the show be without Victor?
