#DOOL Spoiler: Nathan and Philip fight over Melanie

Melanie’s engagement forces Nathan to examine his feelings for her. Although there have been sparks between Nathan and Stephanie, there’s something about Melanie that he can’t explain — a love and soulmate-type quality.
He confronts Melanie about the engagement: he doesn’t want her to make a rash decision out of spite and anger; he’s afraid it’s a rebound thing. Nathan tells her if she really wants to be with Philip, that’s fine, but take it slow. Melanie insists that she has thought about it and knows it’s the right thing to do.
Lexie and Daniel encourage Nathan not to give up and to make his feelings clear to Melanie. He decides to talk to her again but on the way, he runs into Philip. Philip tells Nathan that he and Melanie are eloping to Vegas and Nathan is like, “the hell you are.” An arrogant Philip grabs Nathan and asks what he’s going to do about it. They get into a scuffle, which lands them both in jail.
Will Philip and Melanie make it to the altar?
