Adam considers leaving Newman this week after a blowup with Victor and Nick.
Victor, Jack, Nick, and Adam meet to strategize about how they can wrest Chancellor Industries back from Tucker. Nick has some viable suggestions, but Adam has some very pragmatic advive about how to handle Tucker and beat him at this own game. Victor, casting all emotions aside, thinks that Adam’s suggestions are the better of the two. Adam thinks, Wow, my father actually values what I’m saying. Of course, Nick isn’t pleased at all, and Victor can sense the tension between the brothers.
Later, Victor meets with Adam and asks if he can put Newman first, and encourages the brothers to call a truce. Adam is like, “I have been putting Newman first. I’ve sucked it up to all the crappy jobs that Nick has given me, and I’ve done it because you told me to play by the rules.”
Things get personal when the trio argues over Adam being with Sharon. That’s a breaking point for Adam and he explodes at his brother and father. Victor also reaches his breaking point and tells Adam he’ll never earn his trust.
This is hard for Adam to hear. Will he stay at Newman or leave? If he leaves, will he form a partnership with Tucker?
