Even though Philip is married and Chloe is engaged, these exes sleep together this week. Naturally, Vivian has a part to play in this coming about.
Vivian overhears Chloe talking to Nicole about how much she hates Carly. Vivian then decides to make Chloe a pawn in her scheming. Vivian conveniently runs into Chloe and, feeding on Chloe’s insecurities, tells her that Carly is bad news and plays games. The more Vivian talks, the more convinced Chloe is that Daniel and Carly are having an affair.
What Cloe doesn’t know is that that Daniel is having secret eye surgery for his double vision and Carly is assisting. Daniel leaves Chloe a message that he’s working late, so Chloe goes to see Father Matt, who encourages her to go see Daniel and tell him how she feels, reaffirm how much she loves him and wants to work things out.
In the meantime, Vivian pays off a nurse and a seedy motel manager to lie to Chloe. When Chloe gets to the hospital, the nurse tells her that Daniel isn’t on rotation and, in fact, there are rumors going around about how Daniel and Carly were headed to a sleazy motel. Chloe goes to the motel, shows the manager Daniel’s picture and he tells her that Daniel did check in. Chloe goes home and starts to drink.
Philip, meanwhile, is experiencing his own betrayal when he goes to Maggie’s and sees Nathan kissing Melanie. Convinced his wife is cheating on him, he goes to Chloe and two proceed to get drunk, start kissing, and then go for it.
After they have sex, they feel like it’s Philip and Chloe against the world. The emboldened duo leave to confront their respective partners. They find out they were horribly mistaken. Philip comes to the house, ready to blow up at Melanie, when she just comes clean about everything. She tells him about the letter, how sorry she is, and Nathan gave her a good-buy kiss.
Both Philip and Chloe are thinking, “What have I done?”
(Who wants to take bets that Chloe ends up with a ‘miracle’ pregnancy?
